I'm Back!

I'm back from my North Carolina trip and ready to go back to school. I bought 3 coats, 2 sweaters, a knit cape, and 2 cami's but my parents took most of it to put it away for Christmas :( That means I cannot post what they look like till then :( But here are some pics of my traves. I was in Concord NC and went in Saks Fifth and found this Michael Kors coat! They didn't have my size (ugh) so it couldn't be a Christmas present, but it is pretty:

On Friday I got to zoom around Charlotte Motor Speedway in a racecar! It was fantastic! We were going 165 MPH or close to 300 Kilometers per hour. It was fast. Here's me suiting up:getting in the racecar:
and meeting the King of racing, Richard Petty, #43:

Greetings from North Carolina!

Hello, today is day 3 in our Nascar adventure. I just had dinner with my old colleagues in Asheboro which was a blast! I am now settled in Concord across from the Concord Mills Mall which is my #1 destination tomorrow! Then boutiquing...maybe. Anyway, it was Thanksgiving this past weekend, and I went canoing of all things! I went with le bf, I wouldn't have gone if it weren't for him. It was the first time I had actually been really canoing. Here is a pic from the lake in Pembroke:

I will probably have a picture of Richard Petty himself to post on Satrday, but until then, here is a bear that was made for him by an Amish individual:

I Am Off!

I am off to Pembroke for Thanksgiving weekend, and then Monday I am heading to NC! I will try to get some pictures and content up while I am away. I will just leave you with some of my all time favourite ads.

Ciao!

Just another School Day

The weather here has been atroscious! Since the middle of September it has been getting colder and colder, which means that all of the summer clothes I bought cannot be worn during the school year. ARG! Oh well, my trip to NC next week is going to be a bit of a shopping retreat. One thing I like about going on vacation is that boutiques can be special to one are and no one else has the clothes you buy when you get home!

Today for my night classes I am just rocking a simple sweater-vest dress shirt combo with a wide legged trouser jean.

On my way to class it will be the knee length wool coat, orange flower patterned pashmina and Orange ALDO bag. But no outfit s complete without the big sunglasses. No I don't wear my sunglasses at night.

What to be for Halloween

This Halloween I want to be something special. Last year I was a firefighter, the year before I wasn't much of anything and before that, I didn't go out. This is my last year of university so I want to do something great. I have a few ideas but have narrowed it down to 2 choices I think. One is a cigarette box girl who sells cigarettes to people at night clubs:
The other is Wonder Woman:

I just love the old school feel of these characters. I need to be some sort of Varga girl with red lips and light makeup. I have loved that scene forever and I finally get to do it. I love that Halloween gives us an excuse to be creative and wear things we wouldn't normally wear.

Fall Favs

I was parosing the Forever 21 site and found a few things I am going to look for on my North Carolina trip in 2 weeks. One is this strangely curious but strangely elegant anti-semetrical rimmed hat:

The second is this little number that comes in yellow and blue bands:
I am look to try both, but my heart will be more broken if I do not find the first hat. It is very unique from anything I see around here. Back to studying

Study Day

An uneventful day. Just a lot of studying, some homemade sushi

and a cat nap.

Beauty and the Beast

Ok, so I finally figured out a way to hook my camera up to my new computer without it taking years for the 500 photos to load. This means that I can finally take pictures and upload them to the blog in minutes of each other!!
So today I went shopping to finish off all of the outfits for the short film, called Keep the Change, which I am the costume coordinator for. But after shopping for that I did a little browsing of my own. I wasn't looking for clothes, just accessories. I happened upon these two lovely bracelets which I thought were amazing.
The one is a studded wooden bracelet and the second it a stretch chain link. Both from Le Chateau. It was a challenge to get dressed today because I was fighting with a monster:
But by the end of the day all was peaceful.

Posting

No idea where the time goes. I'm not even that busy with school. Things just come up here. Posting is not really a main priority right now, but I will try to continue posting every few days. Class in a bit.
